1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Coinage Micro Finance Pvt. Ltd. ("Coinage", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects information about you when you visit our website, register for an account, complete KYC, or use the Coinage mobile app (together, the "Services"). It applies to all users of the Services, including Users, Advisors and Super Advisors under our referral structure.

By registering for an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your full name, mobile number, email address and a password (stored in hashed form — see Section 4). If you were referred by an existing user, we also record the referral code used and the resulting referral relationship.

KYC / Identity Information

To meet our identity-verification obligations before you can invest, we collect your Aadhaar number, PAN number, and images of your Aadhaar and PAN documents that you upload in the app. These documents are reviewed manually by authorized personnel before your KYC is approved — we do not auto-approve KYC.

Financial Information

We maintain records of your wallet balance, transaction history, investment records, and withdrawal requests. If you become an Advisor or Super Advisor, we also collect the bank account details you provide for referral commission and income payouts.

Referral Information

We record your referral relationships (who referred you, and users you have referred), your role in the platform (User, Advisor or Super Advisor), and your commission and referral income records.

Usage / Technical Information

Like most mobile apps, we collect standard usage data, including login activity/timestamps, and technical information such as app version and device information, to help us secure your account and improve the Services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Verify your identity and process KYC review and approval;
  • Process your investment requests, withdrawals, and wallet transactions;
  • Calculate and credit referral commissions and income under our referral program;
  • Meet our regulatory and financial record-keeping obligations;
  • Respond to customer support queries and communicate important account updates;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, account misuse, and violations of our Terms & Conditions;
  • Understand how the Services are used so we can maintain and improve them.

We do not use your KYC or financial information for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. How We Store & Protect Your Information

We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage of sensitive data, hashed (not plain-text) storage of account passwords, and access controls that restrict who can view KYC documents and financial records. Access to Aadhaar/PAN documents and other KYC material is limited to authorized personnel who need it to perform KYC review, request approval, or customer support — it is not accessible to general staff.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account, KYC and financial records for as long as your account is active, and for a further period afterward as required to meet applicable financial record-keeping and regulatory norms (including those that may apply under RBI and other Indian financial-services regulations). Exact retention periods for each data category will be confirmed once this policy has been reviewed by a qualified lawyer; until then, treat retention as "for the life of the account plus the minimum period required by applicable law."

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. As of the date of this policy, we do not currently share your data with any external payment processor, because payment gateway integration has not yet been added to the Services — this section will be updated as soon as that changes.

We may share information where required to do so:

  • Platform will remain fully offline/manual (all deposits, withdrawals, and fund movements are handled manually by Admin — no payment gateway integration is planned, now or in the future);
  • With regulatory bodies, law enforcement, or courts, where required by applicable law, regulation, or a valid legal process;
  • With our own service providers (such as hosting infrastructure) who process data on our behalf and are bound to protect it.

7. Your Rights

Consistent with the general principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in Section 11.

These rights are subject to our legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations — for example, we may not be able to delete KYC or financial transaction records while we are legally required to retain them. Where a request cannot be fully honored, we will explain why.

8. Cookies & Tracking

Our website (coinagefinserv.com) may use cookies or similar local storage technologies for basic functionality, such as remembering your display theme preference. We do not currently use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking on the website.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. This is consistent with our KYC and financial-services eligibility requirements. If we become aware that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information and close the associated account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as our Services evolve (for example, when payment gateway integration is added) or as this policy undergoes formal legal review. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we make changes. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
